Governor Pete Ricketts spoke at the recent Seward Rotary Club meeting and the local Seward Rotary had the opportunity to present him with three of Ted Kooser’s most recent autographed books - Wheeling Year, Bell in the Bridge, At Home, all written and signed by Ted Kooser. The Rotary Club donated the books and asked that they be placed in the Governor’s Mansion, in the Nebraska Author’s Guest room library. The Rotary is involved in a host of literacy activities and the Kooser books help promote the theme. The Governor was reminded Seward is the home of the world famous Concordia University Plum Creek Children’s Festival and the community works hard to promote literacy at all levels. The books, from Chapter’s Books and Gifts in Seward that were presented are some of Kooser’s newest presentations including…   The Rotary Club also presented him with local wines, promoting Red Path Gallery and Junto specifically for the Governor and First Lady Suzanne.
