Thank You for Service Above Self
This year we've had three members of the Club step up to help lead our work due to unexpected vacancies.  Brady Johnson is serving as Interim President for the remainder of this Rotary Year, while Mark Kolterman and Greg Zabka are now serving on the Board of Directors to complete the board.  Thank you to each of these Rotarians for demonstrating "Service Above Self" for the benefit of our Club and our members!
34 Days and Counting
The 2023 Seward Service Celebration is being held on May 20th at the Ag Pavilion, or 34 days from today.  Many have put in work on making this year's event a success but we need all Seward Rotarians over these last four weeks to ensure it is.  So how can and will you help our Club?

Volunteers are still needed for set up, with the auction, and tear down on the day itself.  Sign up by clicking here.

Attendees need to register.  Tickets are $75 a piece and a table, which seats 8, is $600.  You can purchase tickets online by clicking here.  Please enter the names of your guests as well.  You can also pay by check but please use the same site to register.

Sponsors are welcomed.  A sponsorship is $1,000 and includes a table plus advertising for you or your business.  To purchase a sponsorship, please contact Dee Hartmann or Marla Johnson.

Thanks in advance for being part of making this yet another successful event for our Club and our community!
4th of July Royalty Essay Contest is Open
Hey, kids, you could be Mr. Firecracker or Miss Independence 2023!

All Seward area children currently enrolled in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade are invited and encouraged to submit their essay on “Why I like to live in Seward!”

The essay should be approximately 500 words and either typed or printed.  The student must be willing to read the essay several times in public, including on July 4, 2023, when they will also ride in the Grand Parade.  While many schools provide time in class to write the essay, it can also be done at home.

Seward Rotary will once again select a Mr. Firecracker and Miss Independence, as well as a runner up for each.  All four students will win fireworks, a trophy, and be an honored dignitary as Seward celebrates America's birthday!

Please mail or delivery completed essays to Seward Rotary Club, Attention Ben Spirks, Jones Bank, Box 469, Seward, NE 68434.  In the right hand corner of the essay, include the student’s name, grade, school, parents’ name(s), phone number, and email.  The deadline for essays to be received is noon on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Good luck!
